Frequently Asked Questions

Q: If I register for a private suite, can I still share with a family member or friend?
A: You may register for a private suite and share the room with up to 3 family members or friends- but they must be registered students and pay for Tuition to The London School of Guitar Workshop.  To share your private mansion suite with other registered students please call 801.906.8248, or send a special request to: londonschoolofguitar@gmail.com

Q: Can family members or friends room together at The Canyons Resort?
A: Yes! Please mark the name of the person you would like to room with on your Registration form.  We will do our best to accommodate all requests! Friends and family staying with registered students at the Canyons Resort need not be registered for the guitar workshop.

Q: I want to register my child who is under the age of 18; can they stay at The Canyons Resort during the workshop?
A: No. Students under the age of 18 who are registered with The London School of Guitar Workshop may only stay onsite at The Workshop Mansion (where chaperones are staying) by registering for private or shared suite or who are registered as Day Students.  The Canyons Resort suites are only reserved for students 18 and older.

Q: Will registered students have one-on-one time with the professional Guest Artists?
A: Yes! Every Guest Artist who is participating in the guitar workshop is more than willing to mentor each student and help in any way to make their workshop experience a great one!

Q: Can I switch between classes, even if it's technically outside of my skill level?
A: Yes! Students may take Beginning, Intermediate, and Advanced classes in different subjects if they feel they need more or less intense instruction in a certain subject. For example, one might take a Beginning Songwriting class but an Advanced Blues Improvisation class.  A detailed schedule of clinics, private lessons, and classes will be handed out on the first day, and students are welcome to design their own schedules.

Q: Will I get a chance to perform? Do I have to pay to play with the band?
A: All students will have ample opportunity to participate in nightly Open Mic concerts, with a Finale Concert Friday night.  Students do NOT have to pay to play with any of our professional musicians.

Q: I want to register as a Day Student- are meals included?
